London Thames Bridges Walk

(meeting at Putney Bridge LU Station at 9.30am)

Do you want to get fitter this summer and support a worthy cause at the same time?

Why not join us for our annual fun challenge on a 25 km walk along the Thames crossing 16 of London’s iconic bridges from Putney to Tower Bridge.

The walk is a charity fundraising event organised by Engineers for Change (Sierra Leone)  in partnership with the Fourah Bay College Alumni Association to jointly raise £15k to:

1. set-up a video-conference facility at a suitable venue at Fourah Bay College for students and staff to access video conferencing.
2. continue the programme from 2017 to purchase of laboratory equipment for the Mechanical Engineering department at the University and the Freetown Technical Institute (we raised £6k in 2017 towards this).

The charities will use a small percentage of the funds raised to cover their administrative costs.

Places are limited to a maximum of 50 people so please register promptly.

This year we have the option of starting the walk from Vauxhall Bridge/ London Underground Station at 12noon.

Nobody will be left behind on the walk as you will be walking in groups, with refreshment stops on route and a well deserved a pub dinner at the finish line.

• Click on the orange button “Start fundraising” in the Be a fundraiser tab
• A new window will open for you to log in. You can log in using your Facebook or enter your login details, Email address and password. You would have these if you have previously been a fundraiser with JustGiving, maybe with another charity. If not, click on the Signup. Only basic information is required.
• Once logged in, you will be given the option to chose what you are doing, click on Organised event
• In the new page, click on our event, EfCSL 2018 Thames Walk
• Choose your fundraising page web address, just check that all is good
• Click on Create your page
• You are ready to go. At this point, you will receive an email from JustGiving with your web page address
• Go ahead and personalise and edit your page, add your photo’s, your message etc..
• Share your page with your friends and potential donors by email and facebook
